Join us on Zoom for conversations on cutting edge stem cell research.  These lectures will provide an accessible portal to learn about the amazing work being done at UC San Diego.

 

2020 Series:


August 6: Parkinson’s Disease: Irene Litvan, M.D., Don Cleveland, Ph.D. and David Higgins, Ph.D. will discuss the next generation of treatments for Parkinson’s Disease and offer a patient’s perspective.


October 8: Precision Immunotherapy: Hear from Ezra Cohen, M.D. & Judy Varner, Ph.D. on how Precision Immunotherapy can harness the body’s immune system to kill cancer cells.


TBA in October: Stem Cells in Space: Join in a special discussion with Alysson Muotri, Ph.D. live from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canveral ahead of the next space launch!  Dr. Muotri will explain how stem cells growing on the International Space Station can teach us about aging and development.  Guest speakers will join to offer a special perspective.
